Spectrum of Identity

The Rainbow City Concert Band and Orchestra present music to celebrate the identities of marginalized artists and communities. This lively and beautiful performance will awe you with the sounds you'll hear from diverse composers perfortmed with joy by our wonderful member musicians. Join us, as we celebrate the beauty and importance of diverse identities through music!

In the first half, Rainbow City Concert Band will perform exciting pieces including Shut Out by Tyler Mazone and A Mother of a Revolution by Omar Thomas, written to commemorate the Stonewall Riots. Closing out the show, Rainbow City Orchestra will play a mashup medleys with music from three musicals - The Greatest Showman, West Side Story, and Wicked. Lastly, they close with the piece Ode to Life by Leslie Adams for a gorgeous way to end this second performance of our concert season.

This event is presented in conjunction with our annual gala, titled Dance the Night Away. Extend the evening with a dance featuring Rainbow City Jazz Band and Rainbow City Color Guard. The ticket also includes drinks along with delicious food to accompany the music. You can socialize with the Rainbow City community, browse the silent auction, and participate in some games or the raffle. It will be a wonderful party to dance and enjoy!

Concert tickets are available now online, or via the box office over the phone or in person. Gala tickets are limited and only available to purchase until March 12. Secure your spot now for the best seats!

Concert patrons are welcome to arrive early to browse the silent auction. Tickets to participate in the silent auction online without a full ticket are available for $10 now at this link and at the event.

The Rainbow City Concert Band and Rainbow City Orchestra are two of the many ensembles in Rainbow City Performing Arts, a nonprofit with a mission of increasing equity and visibility of LGBTQIA+ people. Performing many styles of music, they focus their performance on music of marginalized composers and themes that uplift through diverse expression of music.
